Bhaktapur, located just east of Kathmandu in Nepal, is a city where time seems to slow. Famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture, it is often called a “living museum” due to its abundance of temples, palaces, and courtyards. Visitors can stroll through Durbar Square, admire intricately carved wooden windows, and experience traditional artistry that has been passed down for generations.

The city is also known for its cultural festivals and local crafts. Pottery and weaving remain important parts of daily life, and tourists can often see artisans at work. Bhaktapur is particularly famous for its food specialties, including sweet delicacies like juju dhau, a rich yogurt that reflects the city’s culinary heritage.

With its combination of historical sites, traditional crafts, and vibrant street life, Bhaktapur offers travelers an immersive experience into Nepalese culture, architecture, and everyday life outside the bustle of Kathmandu.
