The State Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic stands on Ala-Too Square in central Bishkek and presents the history and cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan from ancient times to the modern republic. Barskoon Waterfall

Barskoon Waterfalls are a group of mountain waterfalls in the Barskoon Gorge on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, roughly 250 kilometers east of Bishkek. The gorge cuts into the Terskey Ala-Too range, with streams fed by snow and glaciers descending through steep slopes covered with spruce and other mountain vegetation. Several waterfalls can be reached by hiking trails from the gorge, with the most accessible lower falls requiring a relatively short walk and higher cascades reached by longer, steeper routes. The area is also associated with the Barskoon River, alpine meadows, and historic routes across the mountains, making the waterfalls part of a broader high-mountain landscape.
