The town is beautifuly situated near the forest and the water, and the varied countryside all around provides lots to see and do. Kolding is a modern town with roots deep in history, and the many activities, events and holiday opportunities available here ensure that there's always something for everyone. Places to visit include: Koldinghus Castle, Trapholt Museum of Art, Geographical Gardens and more.

One of the largest shopping malls in Denmark is Kolding Storcenter, with 60 shops and a large supermarket under the same roof. It was built in 1993 and has about 70,000 visitors a week. Both the town of Kolding and Kolding Storcenter make it an experience to go shopping here, and refreshments are available everywhere, ready for whenever you might be tempted.
